From the calanques of Marseille to the ridgelines of the Jura, by way of the summits of Haute-Savoie, give yourself a day out of time. Each outing sets off in search of breathtaking landscapes, remarkable plant life and fascinating wildlife, in a warm and reassuring atmosphere.

How a day unfolds
You meet at the trailhead, between seven and nine in the morning depending on the outing. A briefing on the route, the weather for the day and the pace comes before setting off. The pace is set by the slowest walker in the group, with regular breaks and stops to explain what the path passes through: the geology of the Jura, animal tracks, the plants worth knowing and the ones best left alone. Lunch is carried in your pack and eaten facing the view. The descent is never a race against the clock.
Choosing the right level
Every route in the catalogue is assigned to one of these four levels, shown at the top of its page along with the duration, the distance and the ascent.
- Easy walk, under three hours and little ascent. Suitable for young children and for people who do not walk regularly.
- Classic day, five to eight hours on waymarked paths, with no technical difficulty and a high mountain panorama as the reward.
- Demanding day, sustained ascent and sections that call for a sure foot. Regular mountain experience is required.
- Full alpine day, more than ten hours and over 2,000 metres of ascent. For well trained walkers only.
New routes are added to the catalogue regularly, across the same four levels.
How prices are worked out
Every outing is private to your group: no one else joins it. The price is a group rate, converted into a price per person, which means that each person’s share falls as the group grows. The starting price and the full price list appear on the page of each route, from 24 euros per person for the most accessible walks.
What is included
Guiding by a qualified Mountain Leader, route preparation, professional liability insurance and group safety equipment are included. Transport to the meeting point, the packed lunch and personal equipment remain the responsibility of each participant. A kit list matched to the outing and the season is sent out a few days before departure.
If the weather turns bad
The decision is taken the evening before and passed on to the whole group. An outing cancelled because of the weather is rescheduled, never lost. On demanding routes, cancelling is always preferred to leading a group in poor conditions.
