What if the forest turned into a remarkable place to explore? RandoSpores is a mushroom observation and identification outing led by Julien, a keen mycologist. It is a hands-on, light-hearted immersion in which you learn to recognise mushrooms, understand the part they play in the forest ecosystem and look at the nature around you in a completely different way.

How the outing unfolds
The outing moves at a calm pace that suits close observation. Julien leads the group through the forest, presents the species you come across, explains the criteria used to identify them and shares the markers that help you read the habitat. The approach is playful and easy to follow, suited to the simply curious and to those who already know a little.

Safety and good practice
This outing is devoted to observation and identification. No mushrooms are eaten. Picking mushrooms to eat carries a serious risk of poisoning and falls outside the scope of this activity. Bring walking shoes, clothing suited to the weather and something to take notes or photographs with.
